Finally... Something to Share

I finally got my scrap on! These photos are from 2007. My sister in-law and nephew from Virginia came up to Pennsylvania for a visit, and we went to Idlewild Park. I think Uncle Bob had to stay home and work.

I used some October Afternoon paper for this layout:

And, a couple of closeups:
Soak Zone cu1

Those splashes are Fiskars, and turned kind of greenish when I put them on the yellow paper, but I still think they're cool.

Soak Zone cu2

I don't know if you can tell, but my camera, my Nikon DSLR is putting a grayish spot on my photos... you can see it in the top layout, right above the tilted photo, it looks like a grease spot. I just tried to clean my lens, so we'll see if that helps. I even tried to clean the mirror on the inside, but didn't want to screw it up, so I just did a quick wipe to get the dust off. I'm so beyond mad. I hope I was able to clean it. I mean, I want to upgrade my camera eventually, but, I was hoping to wait another year. THEN, I was cleaning my other lens, my 55-200, and it has this weird line thing going on. I know I can fix all this in Photoshop, but that's not the point... I think I might have gotten an inferior lens. I wonder if I take my 55-200 to Ritz camera if the guy there could help me... any suggestions? I wanted to keep these lenses and upgrade the body, now it seems like my lenses are crap.

Well, other than that, I've been taking it easy. Still fighting this stupid sinus infection. I went to the doctors on Saturday and got another antibiotic, but she also gave me some Nasonex and told me to also get some Mucinex. So, I did that and it seems to be helping. So frustrating to have a sinus infection for a month. I realize my immune system is low, but this is ridiculous! If this doesn't work, I have to go to an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist. UGH.

That's it for today. Have a great day!!

First...love that layout! Really like the journaling strips in the wavy pattern!

As for you camera...Ritz should be able to help. They always suggested I allow them to clean anything inside my camera. I try to do that routinely but tend to fall behind in getting it done. I would take the lenses in too. I hope their isn't an issue with the lenses. As they always say, the camera isn't the most important part...it's the quality of the lenses that makes all the difference.

Hate you are still battling the sinus infection. I use to get multiple ones every year. Now, anytime I feel one coming on, I take Mucinex for a few days and I'm all better...no antibiotics in several years now. Love my Mucinex! I know you have other issues at play but I hope this combo does the trick for you!

Hugs and more hugs,

Hi Chris!
I love your layout and how the journaling looks like it's on a lazy river :)
Sorry about the sinus infection...hope it clears up A.S.A.P!

Very cute layout! I already told you this, but I'm going to say it again - take it to Ritz. Now that I see exactly what it is, I am guessing you have dust on the inside. Hopefully they can clean it right up for you. I would take a photo to show them.

Oh Chris I just adore the LO...what a fabulous way to do the journaling and I love the little water spots!!

I had the same thing happen to my Nikon D50....I kept getting this spot in the same place on each pic...I finally just took it to Ritz and they sent it off to have it cleaned and it worked perfectly!!! It didn't take long!!! I really did not want to go digging around on the inside of the lens!!!

I too have a horrible sinus infection....I am hoping that the new round of antibiotics does the trick!!!

Love ya girlie and have a great day!!! :-)

Hey there! I'm going to second, (or third or fourth) take it back. They should be able to send it out to their magic dust free facility and fix it. Also I wouldn't bother upgrading the body until you completly grow out of it or absolutely need a feature on one of the newer bodies. Otherwise you are better off just investing in better glass.
At least that's the word on the street! :-)
Feel better soon!

I'd bet your sensor is dirty. You can either clean it yourself, or send it to be cleaned. Depends on how adventurous you are. I've cleaned my sensor myself and it worked
