Project 365 Binder

I found this mini binder at Walmart. It came with 50 3" x 5" index cards. I thought it was cute, then I thought "Hey, I can use this for Project 365." 52 weeks in a year, it has 50 cards, I just need 2 more.

Here is what the binder looked like when I bought it:

Here I slipped in my cover. I just printed it on a 4x6 piece of photo paper. I used my 365 Blog design.

And, I actually am pretty caught up. I have the first 2 weeks done.

I adhere my photo page to the blank side of the index card, that way I can journal on the other side, where the lines are, when I flip it up.
You can't see it in the photo, but in each corner I have the photo marked as x/365.

Sunday, I met Elizabeth/Cutepumkin "in real life"! We had fun shopping at the scrapbook store and chatting. She has 2 little girls that are so cute and funny. They're just adorable, just like their mama! ;)



Well, time to cook dinner for my kiddos.

A Great Weekend!!

The weekend isn't over yet, but so far it's been great. I finished up the BIG Creative Charms catalog... I love how it turned out. It's done and debuting at CHA right this minute! I'm so excited. I hope that Michelle (the owner) gets lots of orders because her new stuff ROCKS!

Last night was all about my daughter Emma. I am so proud of her. She had a piece of artwork in an under 21 art show at the Keynote Cafe. It was so cool to see her art on the wall. Unfortunately, it was so crowded that we didn't stay very long. We did get to talk to her teacher, who said Em has another piece in another show at the high school. How cool!!

Well, I am off to meet a fellow scrapper at the Scrapbook Super Station! Her name is Elizabeth, aka - Cutepumpkin on AMR and I can't wait to meet her IRL! What a fun day! I'll have pictures later of our fun meeting. I'm sure we'll buy a few things... that store is the only place locally to get cool stuff like October Afternoon and Pink Paisley. Yeah!!

Patterned Paper Mixing Class

I was asked to do a class for All Moments Remembered. I chose the subject “How to Mix Patterned Papers - from different lines”.

Here are all the instructions, they are in the AMR message board under scrapbook chit chat, but after this week will be moved to “classes”.

I used 3 different patterns from 3 different lines: Autumn Leaves b/w foofala, American Crafts Metropolitan and K&Co, the red on red polka dots.



I need to add some journaling. My dd doesn’t like this picture of herself. I like it because she’s not in a hoodie & a t-shirt. I think she looks super. :)

Well, back to work. I have to finish up a catalog for CHA... lots of cute stuff from Creative Charms, which makes my job much more fun.

A Card to Share

I stopped at Michaels the other day because I heard all the buzz about the new lines coming in. They had the cutest line from Colorbök called “Friendly Forest”.... so cute. I picked up these stamps

And, I also got some dimensional stickers... and made this cute little card for Jingle. She had a challenge on AMR to use a woodland creature on a card.


I had to use a squirrel.... she had a “run in” with a squirrel a few months ago!

Wonderful, fun, super crazy, change your avatar every 2 hours - online crop at All Moments Remembered this past weekend. I managed to do a few challenges.

Here's one... it was to do a layout based on an ad.

Love my pointy shoes! Yes, those are mine. I took photos of my boots and shoes in my bathtub... the whitest place in my house. Then, I dropped out the background in photoshop, put them on a gray background, then I made a vignetted layer of white over the gray, so the shoes/boots would pop. Just a fun layout.

(edited to add:) My husband thought my boot/shoe photos looked really professional (thank you honey)... so I thought I'd post the before picture of them in my tub.

Great white seamless background! ;)

I'll be working hard today on the Creative Charms catalog... maybe even give you a sneak peak!

RAK time!!

New Year, new scrap room, time to purge!! I've been going thru my scrappy things, and I'm going to give them away to one lucky person. I haven't counted how many sheets of paper I have, but, I'm giving away a decent amount... the stash includes some Prima, some Fancy Pants, some Tinkering Ink... lines from 2008.

I've also got some other goodies that I’ll throw in there. I get doubles of things sometimes in kits, too.

To make this interesting... tell me your New Years resolution. Mine is to be more healthy... which, ugh, is going to include going for a physical.

I'll pick a winner via Random.org on Monday January 12.

More January Kit Stuff

Here's a layout of my son building a snow tunnel. Sorry the photo is bad, it was pretty dark that morning when I took the picture of the layout.


This layout is about the little birds that moved into the bird house that Emma made in 6th grade.


I'd like to work on some more stuff... but, duty calls. I need to work on a catalog, and some other projects... I guess after almost 2 full weeks off, it's time to get back to the real world, and real work.
